Fugitive teen captured in Pa. after 5-month search

Authorities said 19-year-old Armando Perez was wanted on first-degree murder charges.

CAMDEN -- A 19-year-old Camden man is awaiting extradition back to New Jersey on first-degree murder charges after authorities said he was captured in Pennsylvania Friday morning. 

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office said Armando Perez was being sought by police since the fall, when 35-year-old Camden man Jose Alvarez was found shot to death outside the All American Gardens apartment complex on Phillips Street at about 10:20 p.m. on Sept. 13. 

Perez was captured by U.S. Marshals at an Easton, Pa. residence. and is currently being held in the state as officials work to extradite him back to Camden County.
