Someone hauled off stolen engine in delivery truck, police say (VIDEO)

GLOUCESTER TWP. -- A theft late last month from a Blackwood auto parts store is under investigation and township police are asking for the public's help with identifying a suspect caught on camera during the incident.

According to police, a man driving a delivery truck pulled up to the Engine Distributors Inc. location during the early morning hours of March 29. From there, the suspect is seen on surveillance video loading wooden shipping pallets and a large engine block into the truck.

After loading numerous shipping pallets into the back of the truck, the suspect backs his vehicle up to a large engine block. He shimmies it onto a lift, raises it into the storage compartment of the truck and pushes it in.

The vehicle used during the theft may have been an Isuzu, police said. It also had a dent on its right side as well identification numbers on the right corner of the side panel.

Police said that the approximate value of the stolen items is around $2,000.
