Voorhees police say a red four-door car pulled into the Valero gas station along Route 73 at approximately 4:50 a.m. Surveillance video of the incident shows the driver getting out of his vehicle and allegedly pointing a handgun at the employee and demanding money.

The attendant complied and turned over the money, police said. At which point, the armed man directed the employee to the register booth -- while allegedly striking him in the head with his handgun -- so he could take money from the register.

Another man, also a suspect in this incident, was seated in the passenger's side seat during the entire incident, police said. The vehicle fled southbound along Route 73.

Police describe the armed suspect as possibly being white, standing roughly 5 feet 10 inches tall, being clean shaven and wearing a black hooded jacket, black gloves, black Nike pants and black shoes.

Readers who may have witnessed this incident or who may know the suspects are asked to contact Voorhees police at 856-428-5400.
