WOODBURY -- A Sicklerville woman has admitted to recruiting a 16-year-old girl into prostitution Monday, pleading guilty to multiple charges in the case, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
Jennie Norcross, 29, pleaded guilty to first degree human trafficking, first degree conspiring to commit human trafficking and first degree promoting prostitution.
Norcorss and her codefendant, Levin N. Orr of Glassboro, were charged after a teacher at the Westville teenager's high school reported seeing her picture on the website Backpage.com offering sexual services in 2014. Two 18 year old women allegedly witnessed the girl engaged in prostitution in a Gloucester Township motel, according to previous reports.
The guilty plea comes the day before jury selection in Norcorss and Orr's trial was set to begin.
She faces 20 years to life in prison on the human trafficking charge. Sentencing is scheduled for May 20.
Her codefendant is still facing trial on the charges. Both Orr and Norcross have been are currently free on bail.
