CAMDEN -- The Battleship New Jersey marked the anniversary of World War II's culmination with Saturday's World War II Victory Day celebration.
Re-enactors, World War II vehicles, 1940s-era music and more were on-site to bring the event to life.

U.S. Navy Admiral Raymond A. Spruance, who played a critical role in Pacific Theater engagements during the war, and John F. Kennedy, whose ship collided with a Japanese vessel during the conflict, were interviewed aboard and portrayed by Michael Glick and Fred Seitz, respectively.
A lunch and dance on the ship's fantail, featuring live 1940s music from the Big Band from the Valley, was also held Saturday afternoon. The Victory Day event was part of an effort to make Aug. 14, the 1945 date that Japan's surrender was announced, a national holiday.
