2 dead, 1 critically injured in rollover crash in Gloucester Township

Police said the two cars crashed on College Drive around 8:10 a.m. Friday morning, leaving both the driver and passenger of one vehicle dead.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP -- A two-vehicle rollover crash in the township Friday morning left two people dead and one critically injured, according to township police. 

In a media release, police said the crash occurred around 8:10 a.m. on College Drive. One vehicle rolled over in the crash, and both the driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden with critical injuries after being extricated from the vehicle by crews from Blackwood, Chews Landing, Erial, Pine Hill and Lindenwold.

Police withheld the victims' identities pending notification of family.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated, and College Drive will remain closed as police work on the scene.
