New Jersey November events, from earth-shaking to simply amusing.
With the November installment of our "This month in N.J. History" photo gallery, we highlight politics, music, literature, sports, crime, entertainment and disasters - both natural and man-made. We also share N.J.-timestamped events, from earth-shaking to simply amusing.
The month of November saw the birth of railroad travel and electric lightbulbs in the Garden State. It was also the birth month of well-known performers, athletes and veterans of our armed forces.
If there are dates and events from November you don't see on our timeline but believe should be remembered, let us know in the comments section.
And, be sure to enable captions for the gallery so you can read all the information associated with each day in New Jersey history.
