The arrests followed several weeks of investigations into drug sales in Sicklerville.

WINSLOW TWP. -- Following a weeks-long investigation, authorities arrested two people on drug charges and a third on weapons offenses Friday morning, according to Winslow Police.

Narcotics unit officers executed search warrants at two addresses -- on Medford Court and Maureen Court in Sicklerville's Manor Hall developments -- following investigations into drug sales from those homes, police said.

Investigators found cocaine, oxycodone, marijuana, packaging materials and more than $1,600 in cash. A motor vehicle stop conducted as part of the operation yielded a loaded 9mm handgun and a defaced .22-caliber rifle, police said.

Richard King, 34, of Maureen Court, was charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine and marijuana, and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance in a school zone.

James Cooper, 37, of Medford Court, was charged wth maintaining a manufacturing facility, possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, possession of cocaine, oxycodone and marijuana, and distribution of CDS in a school zone.

Melissa Morales, 30, of the same Medford Court address, was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a defaced firearm and possession of a high-capacity magazine.

Morales was released pending a court appearance, while King and Cooper were placed in Camden County Correctional Facility.

The Camden County Sheriff's Department and county prosecutor's office assisted in the case.
