Warrants were executed at homes in Paulsboro and Gloucester Township early Friday.
PAULSBORO -- Authorities arrested nine people and seized drugs, weapons and more than $48,000 in cash in a raid that spanned two towns on Friday, Paulsboro Police reported.
Police executed search warrants at four Paulsboro homes and another in Gloucester Township.
More than 12 pounds of marijuana, distribution amounts of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the Paulsboro locations, police said.
The Gloucester Township raid yielded two automatic assault rifles, five handguns, $48,309 in cash and drug packaging materials.
In the Gloucester Township case, a juvenile was located in the home. The township police department's juvenile family services bureau and state agencies were contacted to assist the mother and child.
The following were arrested in Gloucester Township:
- Jamal D. Hall, 23, of the 100 block of La Cascata, Gloucester Township, was charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of CDS, certain persons not to possess a firearm, endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of unlawful possession of an assault rifle, illegal possession of an ammunition magazine, seven counts of possession of a weapon while committing a CDS crime, receiving stolen property and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
- Brianna N. Carty, 22, of the same address, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possession of CDS.
The following Paulsboro residents were charged:
- Charlene Hall, 57, of the 200 block of Hoffman Avenue, Paulsboro, was charged with possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending court.
- Wanda Martain, 42, of the 100 block of West Jefferson Street, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams marijuana and released pending court.
- Ashley Cenneno, 25, of the 100 block of West Washington Street, was arrested on active warrants.
- Quadre Hasan, 25, of the 100 block of West Washington Street, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to deliver CDS to law enforcement. He was placed in Salem County Correctional Facility.
- Jonny Rebello, 57, of the 1500 block of Commerce Street, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending court.
- Samantha Rebello, 29, of the same address, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending court.
- Richard Rebello, 22, of the same address, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending court.
West Deptford and Gloucester Township police departments took part in the operation, as did the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, Gloucester County SWAT team and the Camden County Sheriff's Department.
"It is these joint efforts that make for successful operations, while allowing the Paulsboro Police Department the necessary tools and resources to target the illegal sales of narcotics in Paulsboro," borough Police Chief Vernon Marino said in a statement. "We will continue to combat these issues that plague our community for a safer Paulsboro."
