GLOUCESTER CITY - A man was arrested in Gloucester City after pulling a woman to the ground by her hair and robbing her near the Brooklawn Shopping Center, police said. He was found by police hiding on a roof of a nearby business.
Harry F. Laute Jr. (provided) Officers responded to the Brooklawn Shopping Center just after 6:30 a.m. on Thursday for a reported robbery. A woman told police she had been robbed on Route 130 next to CW Clark Auto Sales, according to a report.
The victim, who sustained minor injuries, told police a man pulled her to the ground by her hair and stole her purse. He then took off toward the Brooklawn Shopping Center, police said.
Harry F. Laute, Jr., 21, was arrested after police found him hiding on the the roof of Bellmawr Self Storage on Kings Highway, police said.
Laute was charged with robbery and taken to the Camden County Jail.
