TRENTON -- The wife of a man missing from Trenton for over a year now made a public plea for information about his whereabouts Tuesday.
Rick Brunson, 45, was last seen in the 1900 block of Riverside Avenue in Trenton's West Ward on Nov. 28, 2014.
"The case is at a standstill," Brunson's wife Treunkle Brunson said Tuesday. "Rick has an 8-year-old who needs to know what happened to her father."
Trenton police detectives publicized Brunson's case in March, hoping for leads, but Brunson remains missing.
Treunkle Brunson said he husband struggled with alcohol, but despite any personal problems he had, she's at a loss as to how someone can vanish for over a year.
"This is not like Rick," Treunkle Brunson said.
In an effort to see if maybe Brunson had simply left the area, Treunkle Brunson said she was able to have her husband's Supplemental Security Income, or SSI, halted in June by the federal government.
Treunkle Brunson said nobody has claimed the benefits since, and her husband would have to show up in person at an SSI office to claim them.
"He needs money," Treunkle Brunson said.
