The South Jersey resident hasn't heard from the UFC star, who was in Los Angeles on Thursday

On Wednesday and Thursday, Ronda Rousey was seen out and about in Los Angeles.

Whether the Ultimate Fighting Championship star will be anywhere near National Harbor, Md. this evening as she promised a United States Marine from New Jersey is anyone's guess.

Rousey was on top of the world earlier this year when Jarrod Haschert asked the Ultimate Fighting Championship star to accompany him to the Commandant's Marine Corps Birthday Ball. The ball is tonight at  Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in suburban Washington, D.C.

Since Rousey accepted Hachert's invite, she started dating fellow ultimate fighter Travis Browne. Rousey also absorbed a brutal beating in losing the UFC women's bantamweight title to Holly Holm last month in Melbourne, Australia.

Haschert posted on Facebook last week that he hadn't yet heard from Rousey, but that he'll be at the ball and is sure she still had "good intentions" of attending.

For everyone that keeps asking me and that is interested. Our Marine Corps ball is next Friday and no I still haven't...

The Sterling High School graduate's mother Caroline also told NJ101.5 radio earlier this week her son hadn't heard from Rousey.

The Daily Mail published photos of Rousey in a dog park and walking with Nick Cassavetes, who is directing "Road House," a movie in which she'll appear,  Photographers also captured her Thursday kissing Browne outside their L.A-area gym.

Weeks before being injured in the loss to Homm, Rousey said her relationship with Browne wouldn't stop her from being Haschert's date for the ball.

Haschert posted a video on his Facebook page Aug. 23 in which he called the 28-year-old mixed martial artist his "celebrity crush" and a "phenomenal person.

Rousey told TMZ.com she's free because her fight was moved to November and asked Haschet to find dates for a few of her friends. She also warned that she's "not a first date kind of girl."

Haschet, who is based at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, also has an athletic background as he ran track and cross country when he attended high school in Somerdale, Camden County.
