GLOUCESTER CITY -- City police are seeking a suspect seen on surveillance video running through a closed liquor store early Sunday morning.
On Dec. 27 at approximately 4:50 a.m., Gloucester City officers responded to a burglary alarm activation at the Liquor Barn store, which is located on Route 130 at Klemm Avenue. When officers arrived, they discovered that the rear door of the business had been forced open.
Police said no suspect was found at the scene or in the surrounding area. Surveillance video of the incident, which shows the suspect inside the store, was obtained by police. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a "Sons of Anarchy" sweatshirt, a mask covering his face, jeans and sneakers.
Police did not immediately say what, if anything, was stolen during the incident but the video provided by police appears to show the suspect carrying a box while still inside the store.
Readers who recognize the suspect in the video or those with any information about the incident are asked to contact Sgt. Steve Burkhardt at (856) 456-7797 or sburkhardt@gloucesterpolice.com.
